Hi, my name is Wensday. I use they/them pronouns. I am excited to explore nature based therapy with kids, teens, and adults. I’m especially energized towards working with trans and queer people and their families, as well as working to support those parenting trans and queer kids.
In my practice I combine a trauma informed strengths-based approach with elements of narrative, play, and somatic/sensory therapy. I offer a playful, direct, and relaxed space. We will co -reate this in a way that feels authentic and supportive to your process.
During our time together in nature we will envision what you wish your life to be like, look like, feel like- and we will design paths to get there. I will support your process with compassion and care, strengthening body/mind integration and well-being.
My name is Kristine (she/her), and I am currently completing my clinical internship at Minneapolis Nature Based Therapy as part of the Clinical Mental Health Masters of Social Work program at the University of Minnesota. I hold a BA from Metropolitan State University, with a minor in Family Studies and an emphasis on Violence Prevention and Intervention. My professional experience includes working with children and adolescents in diverse settings, such as mental health day treatment, athletic coaching, summer camps, restorative circles, and juvenile diversion programs. I am trained in Collaborative Problem Solving, supporting gender-expansive youth, civil mediation, and circle keeping. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, using restorative frameworks to help individuals, primarily ages 10-25, better understand themselves and strengthen their relationships with others and the community.
I am a light-hearted, empathetic, and passionate person who loves to laugh and find joy in the everyday. I believe strongly in the healing power of nature and the benefits of green spaces for mindfulness and personal growth. In my practice, I incorporate these natural tools to support clients in their healing journeys, helping them connect with themselves and their environment. I am committed to making nature-based therapy accessible year-round and work collaboratively with clients to integrate these practices into their daily lives. While my primary focus is on youth and young adults, I am open to working with individuals and couples of all ages if you feel our values align and are interested in working together.
Kristine will be directly supervised by Rachel Voit, MSW, LICSW.
Hi! My name is Jen (she/her) and I am currently a dual degree graduate student at St. Catherine University pursuing a master's degree in both Social Work as well as in Holistic Health Studies. I am so excited to be doing my Clinical internship at Minneapolis Nature-Based Therapy this year because I have had the vision to do this type of therapy for a few years, have attended Ecotherapy training, and have personally found deep healing in nature.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and strengths-based. I aim to help my clients find and use the tools that they already have inside to heal and navigate life with confidence and joy. Breathwork and somatics are two ways I tap into these tools.
I am a 26-year resident of Minneapolis, a mom to two active teenagers in high school, and an adorable rescue dog. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, cold water immersion, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, attending live music and relaxing in my hammock under some beautiful trees.
